I live near Exeter (UK) with my husband, two teenagers, our Cockerpoo and several tropical fish. When I’m not translating, we’re often engaged in a battle to the death – board games are a serious pursuit! Otherwise, my nose is in a book: particular favourites are modern novels and Thomas Hardy, and I have a sizeable Asterix collection (in various languages).
I also love music and have been teaching individuals to play the piano for several years. When I get chance, I also like to volunteer: either undertaking charity translations, or helping the homeless.
